Business tourism puts Lyon in the limelight

Economy, Health and Gastronomy – Three main issues for major events in GL events Lyon 4 venues this September. Distinguished guests and professionals have been attending the following events:

✔️ Go Entrepreneurs at La Sucrière

✔️ Global Industrie and then Sirha Lyon at Eurexpo Lyon and in the Matmut Stadium in the evening

✔️ The installation ceremony of the WHO Academy in Lyon Exhibition centre.

For several days, Lyon has been the place to be.

The exceptional presence of the French President, Emmanuel MACRON, for this 20th edition of Sirha Lyon was a real highlight for the city of Lyon and a support for the food industry as well as the business tourism industry. This presidential presence is a first for SIRHA Lyon !

September events in Lyon in a nutshell:

Global Industrie: from 6 to 9 September 2021 at Eurexpo Lyon.

The Global Industrie show is the leading professional event for industry. Among the various industries attending the show features transportation & mobility, energy, food, infrastructure, consumer goods, chemicals - cosmetics - pharmaceuticals, mechanics, defence, metallurgy, steel... This show also hosts the National Industry Council.

SIRHA Lyon: from 23 to 27 September at Eurexpo Lyon.

The SIRHA Lyon 2021 is the international gastronomy, food and catering show. It includes the biggest food international competitions : Bocuse d'or, World Pastry Cup, French Bakery Cup, etc. No less than 2,116 exhibitors and brands and nearly 149,100 professionals worked to make this event a must-see.

Go Entrepreneur: on 24 September at La Sucrière.

The Go Entrepreneur trade show targets professionals or future entrepreneurs in the creation, sustainability and development of their businesses. In this 2021 edition, 8,400 people took part in this entrepreneurship fair, either on site or remotely.

The installation ceremony of the WHO Academy: on 27 September in Lyon convention centre

The city of Lyon will host the new WHO global training center – WHO Academy. Equipped with cutting-edge teaching technologies (artificial intelligence, virtual reality, etc.) and a world-class health emergency simulation center, the Academy aims to train millions of health workers worldwide.

It is an honour for the teams who run our exceptional venues to have been able to play a part in the success of these events. This sequence of trade fairs and the effervescence that emerges from them is a joy following the cessation of activity during the COVID period.
